Preservation Policy

Introduction

Medical Channel Journal (MCJ) is committed to the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of its published scholarly content. The journal implements reliable digital preservation practices to ensure that all published articles remain permanently available to researchers, institutions, and the global scientific community, even in the event of technological changes or system failures.

Digital Preservation Measures

To ensure permanent accessibility and secure archiving, MCJ adopts the following preservation strategies:

  • Assigns a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to each published article for permanent identification and citation.

  • Publishes articles in PDF format for long-term readability and accessibility.

  • Maintains article metadata in XML format to support indexing, interoperability, and digital preservation.

  • Archives published content in secure digital repositories to ensure long-term preservation and recovery.

  • Preserves journal content through the Internet Archive (Archive.org) to provide an additional permanent public archive.

  • Maintains regular server backups and secure storage to protect against accidental data loss.

Accessibility and Integrity

The journal is committed to preserving the authenticity and integrity of all published content. Any corrections, updates, or retractions are managed transparently while ensuring that the original publication record remains permanently available and properly documented.

Policy Commitment

Medical Channel Journal continuously reviews and updates its digital preservation practices to comply with international publishing standards and to ensure the permanent availability, discoverability, and integrity of the scholarly record for current and future generations of researchers.
