Medical Channel Journal (MCJ) is committed to ensuring transparency, integrity, and objectivity in scholarly publishing. All authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial board members are required to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could influence the preparation, review, editorial decision, or publication of a manuscript. The journal follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Authors must disclose all relationships or activities that could be perceived to influence their research or its interpretation, including:
Financial support, grants, or research funding.
Employment or consultancy with relevant organizations.
Honoraria, speaker fees, or advisory roles.
Stock ownership or other financial interests.
Patents, intellectual property, or licensing agreements.
Personal, academic, or professional relationships that may create bias.
If no conflicts exist, authors must include the following statement:
"The authors declare that they have no competing interests or conflicts of interest related to this manuscript."
Reviewers must disclose any conflict of interest that may affect their impartiality before accepting a review assignment. Reviewers should decline the invitation if they have financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships with the authors or the research that could compromise an objective evaluation. All manuscripts under review must be treated as strictly confidential.
Editors and Editorial Board members must disclose any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where a conflict exists. Editorial decisions must be based solely on the scientific quality, originality, ethical compliance, and relevance of the manuscript, without influence from commercial, institutional, or personal interests.
When a conflict of interest is identified, the Editorial Office may request additional disclosures, assign an independent editor or reviewer, or take other appropriate measures to ensure a fair and unbiased editorial process. Failure to disclose relevant conflicts may result in manuscript rejection, publication of a correction, article retraction, or other actions consistent with COPE recommendations.
By submitting, reviewing, or editing manuscripts for Medical Channel Journal, all participants agree to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest and to comply with the ethical standards established by COPE and ICMJE. Transparency in conflict disclosure is essential to maintaining the credibility, integrity, and trustworthiness of the scientific record.
